Canada Life is committed to being a socially responsible corporate company through investing in the community and encouraging & supporting environmentally friendly practices. Being recognised as a leader in the financial services industry brings with it the responsibility through our corporate citizenship across Ireland.
Over the years, Canada Life has sponsored or given donations to several worthy charities:
Canada Life is committed to protecting and preserving our environment by working in a number of ways to reduce emissions and to create an overall healthy and safe environment for now and the future.
Working in conjunction with our waste management company we strive to minimise the amount of waste being produced and focus on reducing, reusing and recycling. A Recycling Campaign Group was set up in 2004 to reduce quantity of waste being sent to landfill by allowing for improved recovery through increased segregation of waste. Colour coded bins have assisted in increasing the amount of items recycled daily. Paper, batteries, cardboard, toners, monitors and keyboards are just some of the items that we currently recycle.
Supporting and initiating Health and Safety Practices at work, Canada Life runs a Well-Being Programme for employees within the organisation.
The primary purpose of the programme is to raise awareness of Well-Being issues and provide everyone with information and knowledge within the company. We want to create a 'Good Life with Canada Life' and will be focusing on four key areas; Mental well-being, Nutritional well-being, Physical well-being and Health and Safety.
