Canada Life Charity Cycle 'Into the West' - 10th & 11th September 2011
Once again Canada Life sponsored the 'Into the West' charity cycle to raise funds for breast cancer research carried out by the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (N.B.C.R.I). This event is held annually in September and consists of a 300km cycle ride from Mullingar to Galway and back. Although this year's event was curtailed by storm force winds from the tail end of hurricane 'Katia' the 200 cyclists brought a splash of colour to the city as they arrived in Galway to be greeted by the Lord Mayor. Well done to all involved!
